Mobile & accessibility pass

The site was optimised for phones with a slide-down menu. A "skip to content" link, improved colour contrast, and arrow-key support in the explorer were added. The domain stellarlifecycle.com.au was registered.

Improved the glossary

A live search box was added to filter terms as you type, along with new entries including gauss, starquake, parallax and others.

Added the quiz section

A 12-question self-marking quiz was built in JavaScript with explanations for every answer, plus a knowledge challenge with harder open questions.

Expanded the magnetar section

The magnetar page became the largest on the site: soft gamma repeaters, giant flares, the magnetic field comparison tool, and a code-drawn magnetar diagram were all added.

Added the Star Life Cycle Explorer

Using SVG and JavaScript, an interactive explorer was built along with a stellar evolution tree diagram and a comparison chart of stellar end states.

Split into multiple pages

The single-page site was divided into an Astronomy introduction, Life of a Star, and Magnetars. The first version of the glossary and a star life cycle diagram were added.
